How Progressive Jackpots Work
A progressive jackpot is a prize
that can be won for getting the
winning combination. You can think
of it as a mini lottery. Each player
that plays a progressive game is
contributing to the total jackpot
amount. The ultimate goal for any
progressive game player is to win
this jackpot. The longer that a game
goes without the jackpot being won,
the larger the jackpot progressively
gets. Once a progressive
jackpot is won, the jackpot gets
reset to a certain minimum amount.
Caribbean Stud Poker is the best example of a progressive card game. You have to put $1 into a coin slot in order to be eligible for the Jackpot.
